SEP / 2019-BYC unofficially kicked off ‘cross season at the Deschutes Brewery GO Cross race in Roanoke, VA. The team collected a bunch of podiums and had strong races from all of our riders. Our official start to the season will be at the Hub Labels Cyclocross Challenge this weekend in Hagerstown, MD. Under-15 racers start at 9:15, U19 girls race at 10:00, and U19 boys race at 11:00. We’re looking forward to getting racing! Go BYC!

Baltimore Youth Cycling (BYC) is a volunteer run, non-profit organization formed in 2015 dedicated to developing junior cyclists into confident young athletes. Our coaches and volunteers work with cyclists ages 8-18, in structured cyclocross and road practice settings. We coach our cyclists to ride safely and skillfully as athletes committed to their sport, their teammates, and their community. BYC racers compete locally, regionally, and nationally in organized cyclocross and road events.

As a member club of the USA Cycling national governing body, we believe and support their policy that all “Members shall have an equal opportunity to participate in bicycle racing without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin.”
